YMCA Membership Cards
Your membership card grants you access to the facility and allows you to use a locker during your visit. Children must present a membership card to check out Playstation games. The cards themselves remain the property of the Grand River Area Family YMCA. Please carry your card with you and show it upon entering the Y. Cards are not transferable. Loaned cards will be confiscated, and membership privileges may be rescinded. We ask your cooperation as staff members seek to maintain a reasonable security system.

A variety of membership rates and payment plans appear on our Memberships/Scholarships page.

Class Registration Information

  • Members may begin signing up for classes on Monday prior to new sessions.
  • All others may begin registering for classes on Wednesday prior to new sessions.

Insurance
The YMCA does not carry health or accident insurance on its members or program participants. Every person enrolled in any class or working out on their own should make provision with their family health insurance provider. Participants are required to pay all expenses incurred from their participation in YMCA activities. Everyone is strongly encouraged to have his/her physician's approval before beginning an exercise program. The YMCA assumes no responsibility for injuries or loss of personal property while using the facilities.

Lock-Ins
Your school group, church, or youth organization can rent the YMCA for Lock-Ins on either Friday or Saturday nights. The cost is $35 per student. There is a minimum charge of $215 and maximum charge of $430. The facility is available from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The renting group must provide chaperones and proof of insurance. Advance registration is required. Call Dave Rogers at 660-646-6677 or email him to schedule a lock-in.

Seven Reasons Why You Should be a Member of the Grand River YMCA

  1. Here when you want us to be - 16.5 hours per day, 101 hours per week.
  2. The Grand River Area Family YMCA facility currently offers you:
  • A heated indoor pool and whirlpool
  • double gymnasium
  • 1/16 mile walking track
  • Cybex exercise equipment
  • indoor tennis
  • indoor batting cage
  • free weights
  • treadmills, Stairmasters, Nordic Tracks, exercise bikes
  • Internet access
  • aerobics' studio
  • clean locker rooms/showers
  • foyer with big-screen television
  • supervised babysitting area
  • pool table and ping pong table
  • two racquetball courts
  • large lighted parking lot
  1. We offer over 125 different programs year round for children through seniors... including competitive sports, fitness for all levels, and instructional activities.
  2. We offer all our members a free orientation and demonstration on the weight and fitness equipment upstairs in our facility. We also offer a very affordable Lifestyle Assessment Program to help each person get started or continue on the road to physical fitness.
  3. We believe in Christian values that are put into practice every day by our staff. We seek to emphasize the four core values of the YMCA: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. We are more than a fitness facility; we care about each person and want to encourage every individual, regardless of age, sex, or race, to be the very best in all they attempt to do.
  4. We are over 5,000 members strong! Why not join the growing number of people who are making a personal and family commitment to wholesome recreation and physical fitness.
  5. We are expanding to meet your needs! Community support of our YMCA continues to be strong. Because of a successful 1.6 million dollar capital campaign in 1997, we built a new full-sized gymnasium with bleachers, a dedicated gymnastic facility, an additional fitness room, and a second multi-purpose area. We want to continue our commitment to excellence and invite you to join with us as we grow.
