At the Y, we believe healthy living has as much to do with pursuing your interests and passions and learning new things as it does with eating healthy and being active. Our minds and spirits need stimulus and enrichment, and we get so much more from life when we find things—and people—that inspire us.
At the Y, we offer a sense of community, fellowship, and support that enriches people’s lives. Our Y currently offers crochet classes and will soon offer much more. Now is the time to take a deeper look at something you’re interested in.
The Knotty Throwers (Crochet Group) - Facilitated by Fontella Mosier
Come be a part of The Knotty Throwers. Join us as we share the skill and hobby of crochet as we work on projects together and/or individually learning from one another. We have a lot of fun, create some awesome stuff and occasionally meet for dinner!
Beginner Class: Tuesdays from 2:30 - 3:30pm (4 Weeks)
The beginner class will focus on basic stitches and how to read a pattern. The project will depend on class size and ability. Hooks and yarn will be available if needed.
Intermediate Class: Tuesdays from 3:45 - 5:00pm (6 Weeks)
The intermediate class will learn the double crochet and front post double crochet spike pattern. Class members should bring their own hooks and yarn. Any size hook or type of yarn may be used, however, an H or I hook and worsted weight yarn is suggested.
