A Letter From Our CEO

Dear Members:

I wanted to personally give you exciting news about upcoming changes at your YMCA.

First, in just a few months your YMCA will be installing one of the first EGYM strength training circuits in Missouri. This equipment will be able to scan your fitness level and then create personalized training just for you based on your needs. This new equipment is possible because your YMCA is blessed to have the fantastic support of business partners, foundations, and many individuals from this community. Recently two YMCA supporters, Jack and Laura Dell, made a substantial financial contribution to your YMCA and these funds will be used for renovation and installation of the new EGYM. To make the EGYM easily available to all members, the equipment will be located on the main floor at the east end of the hallway where the Functional Fitness room is now located. The current equipment in this room will be relocated upstairs.

Next, the Y will have a new family and youth fitness area. The current youth fitness room (located at the east end of the south gym) is being revitalized and its use expanded to become the new family and youth fitness area. Members have been asking for an area where parents can work out with their children. This new area will meet that need.

To make room for these changes, the equipment in the current functional fitness area will be relocated to the second floor. Also, because of the low usage and age and condition of the golf simulator equipment, this equipment will be sold or donated. Equipment from the downstairs Functional Fitness room will be moved to this space.

While these changes are being made there will be some construction inconvenience which I know you will be understanding of. Your membership experience and wellness journey is the highest priority of YMCA leadership.
