CEO Announces Retirement
After more than 40 years in the YMCA movement, including five years as CEO of the Grand River Area Family YMCA, Inc., Theresa Hendrix has announced her plans to retire in December 2025. During her YMCA journey, Theresa served in communities across Missouri, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, and Illinois before becoming the first woman to lead our local Association. Under her guidance, the Grand River Area Family YMCAs have grown stronger through increased memberships, expanded scholarship programs, capital improvements, and deepened community partnerships. We are grateful for her dedication and the lasting impact she has made on the YMCA.
